Luhimba Link

We will be refreshing our link with the Luhimba charity that used to be in place at Worlebury many years ago. The Luhimba Project is a Weston-super-Mare based UK charity which has been supporting the remote community of Luhimba and surrounding areas in Tanzania, East Africa since 1984.

Paul Temple, one of the founders of The Luhimba Project, visited our school last year and will make a visit again in the near future to explain more to our children.

So how will we be supporting and learning about Luhimba? Initially, we want our classes to establish a link with a class of a similar age in Luhimba primary school. We would like our children and the children in their corresponding Luhimba class to build up a relationship over time. Both groups will be able to explore how their lives are similar and how they may differ. We would also like to support The Luhimba Project by helping with some of their fundraising to support their small communities.
